I am a Bristol based soprano and have been singing in and around Bristol and Somerset for the past 5 years.
I have been having singing lessons since a young age and have been performing onstage since the age of 5. After completing a law degree at the University of the West of England, I spent a year at Bristol Academy of Performing Arts studying singing, acting and dance.
I now sing with Bristol Opera Company, have sung the lead role of Jenny in the 2008 Concert version of Kurt Weill's 'Down in the Valley' and I have sung with the chorus in several productions, including Eugene Onegin and more recently, The Pearl Fishers.
I also teach singing to groups and individuals and I ran two courses at the Folk House- Singing For Beginners and Singing for Fun from January 2008-July 2009 before moving on to concentrate more on organising music events.
I perform in and organise cabarets and concerts in and around Bristol. In October 2009 I arranged and performed in 'A Night at the Opera' with four other friends and fellow performers. Most recently, in June 2010, I organised the Bristol Opera Cabaret and I am currently rehearsing for a wedding for which a band has been specially commissioned and I will be the lead singer.
I have also sung at weddings, providing both evening entertainment and music to accompany walking down the aisle or while signing the register.
Further to this, I volunteer for Bristol Festival of Music Speech and Drama as their PR Officer, working to raise the profile of the festival in the SouthWest and encourage some of the fantastically talented musicians and performers in the area to take the opportunity to participate.
